Személyes - Helló Café Réfectoire!

Sziasztok!

Három év hosszú idő. Főleg egy franchise kávézó életében és az enyémben is. Ezért egy ideje már gondolkoztam a váltáson, több okból kifolyólag is. Ezek között voltak személyes okok, és rajtam kívül állók is. Nem szeretném részletezni ezeket, mert nem tartanám illendőnek az interneten világgá kürtölni. Voltak szép pillanatok az elmúlt években, sikerélmények, remek csapatok, de voltak mélypontok is. Ennyi elég volt, köszönöm.

Hi everybody! 

Three years is a long time in a life of a franchise café and in my life too. So I was thinking on the change because of more reasons. That was included personal and non-personal causes as well. I do not like to give more details  because I do not think that is nice to write about those on the internet. There were beautiful moments, successes and great teams in the last years. But I touched bottom too. That was enough, thank you.

A váltás egész hirtelen következett be: talán három hete, hogy Cardiff-ból visszafelé észrevettem a hirdetést az ablakban. Másnap a Costa után leadtam az önéletrajzomat, és mivel sürgősen kellett az új ember a kávézónak, ezért még azon a héten el tudtam menni próbaműszakra. Ami jól sikerült, így egy hét alatt felvettek az új helyre. :) Óriási megkönnyebbülés volt!

The change was very quick: for three weeks when we arrived back from Cardiff, I just checked one vacancy in the shop window. On the next day after I finished in Costa I applied for the job. Because they needed new staff asap so I could go for a trialshift on the same week. The trial was succesful and I got the position. :) That was a huge relief!

Túl vagyok az első hetemen a Café Réfectoire-ban, ezért mesélnék most Nektek róla. A kávézó a buszállomás mellett van, és Bristol legrégebbi templomépületében kapott helyet. A kávén, a hideg szendvicseken és a saját készítésű süteményeken kívül meleg ételt is felszolgálunk: minden nap különböző leves és egy kiemelt főtt étel van a menün. Ez újdonság számomra, még nem dolgoztam olyan helyen, ahol meleg konyha is volt. A cég a fő bevételét mégis a konferenciatermek kiadásából szerzi, aminek az ellátását mi biztosítjuk. Ez bizony gyakran forgalmassá teszi a délelőttöket, amikor a kávézóba betérő vendégek kiszolgálása mellett el kell készítenünk a kávét, teát, szendvicseket, süteményeket a konferencián résztvevők számára is.

My first week is already behind my back in the Café Réfectoire so I would like to intruduce it for you. The café is next to the coach station and it is located in the oldest building of Bristol. We prepare coffee, cold sandwiches, home made cakes and proper food too: there is a soup of the day and a special on the board. This is new for me because I have not worked in a place with kitchen until this moment. On the other hand the most important for the café is the conferencees. We ensure to make the food and the drinks for the people in the meeting rooms. Sometimes we are very busy in the mornings because we have to prepare everything for the meeting rooms and for the customers in the café too, in the same time.

Nagyon szimpatikusnak találom a kávézó filozófiáját: mindent helyben, és frissen készítünk minden reggel és a délelőtt folyamán. A munkatársaim kedvesek, kellemes légkörben dolgozunk együtt, ezért gyorsan eltelik a nyitvatartási idő. Ami hihetetlen számomra: hétfőtől péntekig 8-tól délután 5-ig vagyunk nyitva, és hétvégén pedig zárva tartunk! 

I totally agree with the policy of the café: we cook and bake everything fresh in the mornings. The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is lovely so the time goes quick. The opening time is unbelievable for me: from Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm. On the weekends we are closed!

Most itt ülök a laptop előtt, a szabad hétvége második napján, és még nem igazán tudom feldolgozni. Már az elképesztő, hogy két szabadnapom van egymás után, hát még az, hogy ez szombat és vasárnap! Egyelőre soknak érzem, nem tudok mit kezdeni a nyakamba szakadt hétvégével és a szabadidővel. De ez csak idő kérdése, és hozzászokom! :) Aminek elképesztően örülök, hogy visszatér az életembe a rendszeresség, és ez felbecsülhetetlen mind érzelmileg, mind fizikailag! :) Helló rendszeresség, már nagyon vártalak! :)

I am sitting in front of the laptop on my second dayoff of the weekend and still I can not believe. That is incredible that I have two dayoff in a row and that are Saturday and Sunday! At the moment I feel it too much and I can do nothing with the free weekend and the free time. But I am sure that I need only a little time to get used to enjoy! :) I am so happy that the regularity comes back in my life and it is invaluable emotionally and phisically too! :) Welcome regularity, I really looked forward to you! :)
